Penny is a member of the Finance & Audit, and Governance & Risk Committees.

I joined the Kudos Board at the very beginning of the Mutual Enterprise in 2018, as a Director on the Foundation Board. The following year I became Chair. I was proud to be re-elected by Kudos Members back in 2021 to continue my role which has been a meaningful and exciting experience supporting and guiding Kudos as it continues to evolve.

As a communications expert and strategist, practising innovation and strategy, I have worked across a range of sectors and industries.
I bring a vast experience and understanding of mutual enterprises having worked for SA’s largest and oldest Mutual, RAA, and membership enterprises such as Business SA and the ABC Radio. I was also Senior Advisor to the former Premier, Mike Rann. Currently, I am Deputy Chair of the Tourism Industry Council of SA.

My experience and understanding of the value of the Cooperative way and its purpose in providing a workplace of safety, quality and fairness are all very much part of my values – both personally and professionally.

In my mind, there is no doubt that Kudos has a bright future. As we strive to balance business success between government funding and fee-for-service, we will build a robust and sustainable enterprise where everyone has an equal voice in our future viability.
