Kudos Services Welcomes Liz O’Connell as Chief Executive Officer
Kudos Services is thrilled to announce the appointment of Liz O’Connell as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 8, 2024. The decision comes after an extensive recruitment process led by the Kudos Board, in collaboration with Alison Surjan from Jagged Emerald Recruitment.
Liz brings two decades of experience in the Human Services sector from working on the frontline to Executive, and as a Director and Strategic Advisor for a number of social enterprises. With an educational foundation in social sciences and forensic psychology, paired with business administration; Liz has demonstrated success in service design, corporate strategy, and leadership of high-performing and engaging organisations. Liz has designed, developed, and led highly successful innovative initiatives across child and youth health, child protection, youth justice, mental health, corrections, and supports for people with disability.
Liz’s professional background enables her to apply a deep understanding of Clinical Governance and strong practical experience in organisational management. She also brings a wealth of knowledge and personal passion for social impact investment, outcome measurement, research, and evaluation. As SYC’s Chief Experience Officer, she brought renewed focus on social inclusion and engaging people with lived experience in innovation and co-production of innovative services. As Executive Director at ZED Management Consulting, Liz’s expertise in strategy and systems thinking has been behind a number of successful developments in the not-for-profit sector and across Government agencies.
Liz is a mother of two young children, one of whom has a diagnosis of autism and ADHD, and both assist her in staying grounded and enjoying the simplest of life’s moments. Within her top character strengths, you find creativity, zest, and curiosity.
Liz will join the leadership team and membership in leading Kudos Services in the delivery of the strategic goals over the coming years.
