Occupational Therapy with Kudos
When you work with Kudos, we become part of your team and you become part of ours. No matter where you are today and where you want to go tomorrow, our friendly and experienced team is on your team and we’re here to help.
If your child or young person has funding for OT in their NDIS plan, our occupational therapists at Kudos Services can help you to incorporate therapy programs and interventions into their everyday activities, through positive routines, independence in self-care, and the development of fine-motor, play and social skills. They will also assist in developing emotional control, concentration and sensory processing, as well as prescribing home modifications to improve physical access and safety.
Every child and young person we work with has a program tailored to their unique needs. We meet you wherever works best for you – home, school or even the park. Our team also includes speech therapists, developmental educators, psychologists, physiotherapists and other specialists who work together closely to support you when needed.
Being an OT is a really rewarding job. It's often quite slow progress. But I guess the important thing is to celebrate the small moments and achievements along the way.

Kudos Occupational Therapists pride themselves on flexibility. We see the value in meeting clients within the environment that best meets your needs and goals. We can meet at our office in Elizabeth or Unley, at school, at home or anywhere out in the community. We also offer telehealth and phone consults as required. Our multidisciplinary team travels around Adelaide Metro and we also do regular fly-in and fly-out visits to Whyalla and Port Augusta.
We work with children aged 9+, teenagers, and adults. Our primary focus is children and young people; however, we are starting to expand our services to support adult clients. As a team, we work together with our Intake Lead to ensure we can match your needs to a suitable Occupational Therapist who can help you or your loved one meet their specific goals.
As an NDIS registered provider of support, we work with clients who have an approved NDIS plan. Our support is provided under the ‘Capacity Building Support – Improved Daily Living’ funding line within a client’s plan. For further information about this NDIS funding, you can refer to https://www.ndis.gov.au/participants/using-your-plan/managing-your-plan/support-budgets-your-plan
As a team, we work together with our Intake Lead to ensure that your child is matched to a suitable Occupational Therapist with the knowledge, skills and experience to address their specific goals and needs. We recognise that the Occupational Therapy profession is very broad and that we are not experts in all areas of practice, so if required, we may recommend you seek services elsewhere to ensure that your child or young person is receiving the most appropriate support.
When a client’s referral is accepted, they will be allocated to a member of our Occupational Therapy team. However, when you work with one of our therapists, you have the benefit of the entire team’s knowledge, experience and wisdom. Our Occupational Therapists share new information, learnings and resources on a regular basis, engage in collaborative problem solving and consult each other as needed to ensure the best outcomes for you or your loved one.
Our wonderful team of Occupational Therapists (OTs) consists of a diverse group of therapists, each with their own particular skillset or interest area. Our team accesses regular professional development opportunities to ensure we can continue to be aware of evidence-based practice and new trends in service delivery. All of our therapists are able to work with children and young people to build their capacity with a range of skills including: self-care/activities of daily living, fine and gross motor skills, play and social interaction, community access and emotional regulation.
We meet you or your family in the location that best suits your needs. We work 1:1 with kids, adolescents or young adults to support their individual skill development. We value a collaborative approach and will involve parents/guardians, other therapists, teachers/SSOs and/or support workers to ensure a well-rounded service for our clients. This includes building their capacity to support our clients in various environments. As occupational therapists, we also prescribe equipment, explore ways to modify tasks and adapt the environment as needed to enable our clients to participate in activities that are important and meaningful to them.
Our team has been providing support to clients in Whyalla and Port Augusta since July 2020. A team of visiting therapists (including Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists and Developmental Educators) travel to the region on a monthly basis to provide support. We also have a local Allied Health Assistant based in Whyalla who is able to implement therapy plans developed by the child or young person’s allocated therapist.
