Social workers help to ensure that children and young people can be safe and thrive when faced by difficulties including hardship, vulnerability and problems at home. At Kudos, our social work programs are individually tailored and customised for kids, adolescents and young adults. We meet across Adelaide, wherever works best for you.
Social Work with Kudos
When you work with Kudos, we become part of your team and you become part of ours. No matter where you are today and where you want to go tomorrow, our friendly and experienced team is on your team and we’re here to help.
If your child or young person has Social Work in their NDIS plan, our team of child and young people social workers can work with them and your family to improve their personal situation and home life so that they can have the opportunity to thrive. Our social workers can also help with self esteem, counselling, assessment of skills, navigating the NDIS and introducing other supports that might be beneficial to them.
Child Social Work can provide support and skills development for your whole family, helping to better cope and flourish together, reducing stress and building skills to support each other.
Every child and young person we work with has a program tailored to their unique needs. We meet you wherever works best for you – home, school or even the park. Our team also includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, specialist support coordinators, and other specialists who work together closely to support you when needed.

What is your availability for Social Work?
You can access our live availability dashboard here. It shows all services across all areas. If we don’t currently have availability in your area you can share your details and we’ll contact you when there is availability.
In what locations do you provide Social Work sessions?
Whatever environment people need support in, is where you’ll find our therapists. It could be a school, at home, or anywhere in the community. Or you can visit our offices, and we can also provide adapted therapy sessions via video-chat and on the phone. Wherever you are, we’ll be there.
Our multi-disciplinary team travels around Adelaide Metro and they also do regular fly-in & fly-out visits to Whyalla and Port Augusta.
What age do you provide Social Work for?
We work with all kids aged 9+, teenagers, and adults. We have no age limit and also see clients who are in their 30s, 40s and 50s. As a team, we work together with our Intake Lead to ensure we can match your needs to a suitable Social Worker who can help you or your loved one meet their specific goals.
What if Social Work currently isn't in my NDIS plan?
Social Work may not be listed specifically in your plan, but is billed through the Capacity Building budget, so provided you have access to Capacity Building for therapy, you can access Social Work.
Why would I want a Social Worker?
Social Workers can assist in providing therapy for goals around increasing social connection or improved emotional regulation. They can assist with understanding your plan, or support your connection to other providers.
Do you have social workers across South Australia?
Currently, our Social Workers are based in Adelaide Metro and support anyone living from McLaren Vale up to Gawler.
