Kudos Services has a long history of supporting children, young people, and families in South Australia. What began in 1976 within the South Australian Government evolved through several stages, including as the Intellectual Disability Services Council (IDSC) and later the Child and Youth Services (CYS) unit within Disability SA.
In 2018, with the rollout of the NDIS, Kudos Services was established as Australia’s first public sector employee-led mutual. This ensured the skilled workforce from CYS could continue to deliver high-quality services to the community. Today, 200 staff work alongside nearly 13,000 children and families each year, with a focus on inclusion, equity, and excellence.
As we enter the first year of our 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, we are taking another step forward. Kudos is undergoing a brand refresh. Over the coming weeks, you’ll start to see updates across our communications, forms, documents, and website, all designed to better reflect our values, our vision, and the communities we serve.
While our look may be evolving, our commitment to you will not change. We are still the same Kudos team, with the same mission, and the same dedication to supporting children, individuals, and families.
This refresh is not the result of a takeover or external change. It is simply the right time for us to align how we present ourselves with who we are today, and where we’re headed.
