I joined the Board of Kudos in October 2024. There are many reasons that inspired me to join Kudos. Firstly, and most personally, I grew up in a family that included a brother living with disability, which of course has given me a lifelong understanding of the effects of disability not just on the person with a disability, but the family and wider community. Secondly I have a 20+ year career working in organisations that exist to serve the community – particularly young people. Thirdly I am inspired by the people who work for and with Kudos – I want to contribute my experience to enable them to do the best work possible for the community Kudos serves.
I have been a company director most of my career. I have served on the Boards of SYC Ltd, White Ribbon Australia, Bedford Group (current), SkillsIQ (current), SA Entrepreneurship Advisory Board, Commonwealth Training Advisory Board, and been a Chair and Panel member of multiple government working groups and task forces.
I am currently the Managing Director of CEO Advantage Advisory Service Pty Ltd, Digital Human Assistants Pty Ltd and TYSON (Tell Your Story Once Now) Pty Ltd. I initiated and ran, on two occasions the My First Job Working Group at SYC working with significant companies such as McDonalds, Amazon, Seek, and Commonwealth Bank to look at factors affecting young people transitioning into sustainable careers. Kudos has a particular role in the space that exists between Commonwealth-funded services and State-funded obligations. Kudos fills a small but important gap in the sector where children and families risk falling into the gaps of service caused by the federation and other factors.
