Physiotherapy with Kudos
When you work with Kudos, we become part of your team and you become part of ours. No matter where you are today and where you want to go tomorrow, our friendly and experienced team is on your team and we’re here to help.
If your child or young person has Physiotherapy in their NDIS plan, our team can work with you to assess their mobility needs and provide interventions where needed. This includes assessment and prescription for splinting, equipment and implementation support. Our physiotherapists will also consider how their development relates to their gross motor play, sport, recreation and fitness goals.
Every child and young person we work with has a program tailored to their unique needs. We meet you wherever works best for you – home, school or even the park. Our team also includes speech therapists, occupational therapists, developmental educators, specialist support coordinators, psychologists and other specialists who work together closely to support you when needed.
Get in touch to find out more about our specialist services or to book an appointment with one of our friendly therapists. Please contact us here or send an email to [email protected].
Hydrotherapy with Kudos
Hydrotherapy involves using water to aid rehabilitation. It reduces strain on muscles and joints, promotes mobility, and strengthens muscles. The water’s buoyancy and resistance facilitate exercises that might be too challenging on land, while its pressure can improve circulation and reduce swelling, benefiting individuals with disabilities.
Hydrotherapy can be of significant benefit (and fun) to both children and young people, particularly those who present with the following:
💦 High muscle tone (as often seen in cerebral palsy) –
Hydrotherapy can improve muscle flexibility, motor function, and range of movement.
💦 Low muscle tone –
Targeted water-based exercise can improve functional strength, muscular endurance, postural control, and core stability.
💦 Sensory regulation issues (as often seen in ASD) –
Hydrotherapy can help to improve sensory processing and reduce over-stimulation (through the sensory/pressure effects of immersion).
💦 Developmental delays –
Targeted water-based exercise can work to improve dynamic balance, coordination, and motor planning.
💦 Confidence/motivational challenges –
Hydrotherapy can be a great alternative to land-based exercise, helping to build confidence and intrinsic motivation to be active.

I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS
You can access our live availability dashboard here. It shows all services across all areas. If we don’t currently have availability in your area you can share your details and we’ll contact you when there is availability.
We work with children aged 9+, teenagers, and adults. Our primary focus is children and young people; however, we are expanding our services to support adult clients. As a team, we work together with our Intake Lead to ensure we can match your needs to a suitable Physiotherapist who can help you or your loved one meet their specific goals.
Definitely, as an NDIS provider of support, we work with clients who have an approved NDIS plan. Our support is provided under the ‘Capacity Building Support – Improved Daily Living’ funding line within a client’s plan.
For further information about this NDIS funding, you can refer to https://www.ndis.gov.au/participants/using-your-plan/managing-your-plan/support-budgets-your-plan
Kudos physiotherapists can work with you and your family to assess mobility needs and provide interventions where needed. This includes assessment and prescription for splinting, equipment and specific activities. Our physiotherapists will also consider how development relates to gross motor play, sport, recreation, and fitness. We will discuss with you the best place, date and time for assessment and intervention. The assessment may take one or more sessions and together with the child/young person and the family we can provide intervention that supports their NDIS goals.
Kudos Physiotherapists pride themselves on flexibility. We see the value in meeting clients within the environment that best meets your needs and goals. We can meet at school, at home or anywhere out in the community. Our multidisciplinary team travels around Adelaide Metro and we also do regular fly-in and fly-out visits to Whyalla and Port Augusta.
Our team has been providing support to clients in Whyalla and Port Augusta since July 2020. A team of visiting therapists (including Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists and Developmental Educators) travel to the region on a monthly basis to provide support. We also have a local Allied Health Assistant based in Whyalla who is able to implement therapy plans developed by the child or young person’s allocated therapist.
